Shrek Information

March 13th, 2020
In light of the COVID-19 virus pandemic, we have made the difficult decision to postpone Shrek until November 6th, 7th, and 8th, 2020.  This has been a difficult decision to make. However, with much discussion, we feel this is the best option for us.
 1) The existing cast would remain in place as much as possible. Seniors who are willing and available would be allowed to perform the role they were cast as.

2) The first consideration for any parts that need to be recast will be given to current cast members as long as they are suitable for the role.

3) Limited auditions will be held for any newcomers to the cast. Current cast members are not required to audition but will need to come to one of the audition dates to turn in new paperwork and confirm their participation for fall dates. The director has the right to call current cast members in for a callback to replace the roles of people who are not able to return.

4) All participation fees will be paid by new cast members only.  Any money paid for spring Shrek production will be applied to fall Shrek production.

5) Flexibility in rehearsal requirements for returning seniors. Four-day rehearsal schedule and start mid-September for all others.

6) We plan on having a summer cast party.  This will be a time to recognize the Seniors who will not be able to return and reconnect with the current Shrek cast.  (More information will come with a date, location, and time.)
7) Please hold on to your scripts.  If you are not able to participate in the fall show we will take up your script during audition times and refund your $20.00.
8) Any tickets that were sold will be good for the fall show.
9) As of now, we plan on holding the audition workshop camp with Jordan and the dance movement camp with Monica.
We all hope you are staying safe during this challenging time of quarantine.  Please,  continue to check emails, website, and the Facebook page for current up to date information.
Thanks,
The LYT Board
